2001 Blazer intermittent starting problem
Hey all. I'm reposting this from someone back in 2017 that only had one reply with a suggestion but no response if it worked so I figured I'd give it a shot as my Blazer is doing the same thing. "My 2001 2dr Blazer has some sort of electrical problem when starting sometimes. This may sound crazy but it's getting worse. The Blazer has some sort of electrical problem with the starter. At times it will start but sometimes it won't. When it doesn't start every thing on the dash lights up looks like it will start but when I turn the key nothing happens doesn't crank no clicking sounds the dash lights don't change. It use to be that if I turned the key enough times it would finally start. Lately I have have had to resort to connecting a wire to the starter relay and touch the positive side of the battery. It will start the engine and I'm good to go. I can drive it all day and make several stops without a problem. Here's where it gets more crazy, if I drive it s short distance even when it does start it won't start again without the my wire relay trick."

The next time it wont start, pull the crank fuse, black meter lead to battery ground and positive lead to each fuse socket in turn with the ignition in the start position and see if either socket has 12v.
