No Crank No Start
I'm getting a no crank no start issue on a 96 s10 blazer, ive tried jumping it, tapping the starter relay and the starter, ive made sure the transmission is in park, the only weird thing that i can think might have something to do with it is the gear selector light remains on even when the ignition is off and has been for a long period of time, if anyone has any ideas im happy to listen, thank you.
Let’s make sure that our technique is solid. Meter on dc volts, black lead on battery ground or a section of clean metal on the engine, meter positive on battery positive to check for approx 12v then positive lead on each fuse socket while someone else holds the ignition switch in the start position. If you got 12v at the battery but not at either of the crank fuse sockets then the problem is related to the ignition switch or it’s wiring to the crank fuse. Once we confirm this then we will move on to further pinpoint the problem.

I get about 12.52 volts from the battery but only was able to get .02 at the fuse at most and i dont even think that was the right reading, side note i have been taking apart the dash in the past few days in an attempt to replace the heater core. Not sure if that couldve tweaked anything or not.

Ok then the problem is somewhere in this sequence:
Battery
Fusible link
Ignition switch
Crank fuse
I would first look for a damaged wire or connector that pulled out. In this case the wires are red and yellow.
