Default VSS project need some tips

does anyone kno where to connect the brown vss buffer signal wire in eearly cable tbi's to a 91 harness w/ 87 astro ecu. also was wondering since the 91 harness has the green and black wire and purple and whites which one is neg. and one is pos vss signal wires for the vss system if maby since the buffer does both wire the brown wire to both vss wires from the 91 harness. any suggestions ??? thanks

Ground should be easy to find with a multimeter - just do a continuity check.
I'm not familiar with that particular system - never had to deal with it, so not sure which wires are supposed to go where. I do know that there are different pulse VSS's out there, and one won't operate correctly in place of the other.

yea looks like i may have to hard wire everything. use black and white for ground pink and black for 12v key on n run. and brown wire for vss signal proly do that here tonight to see if she will work. and yes mine should be a 4000ppm buffer so she should work when i get some power to it

ok here is a diagram on a vss system for a drac mod. 89 and up. if i combine both input signals because one is neg. signal and one is pos. signal. and connect to my brown wire signal wire coming from vss buffer that does both signals will that work. to my knowledge that the brown wire from my older style buffer does both neg and pos signals. does anyone kno if this is correct ? thanks

Here is the older style buffer i would like to use because its still installed in the truck. just so we are all on the same page and there are three wires that are on a plug that are missing in the picture which would plug into the green vss buffer box. that would be pink and black 12v , black and white. ground. and brown vss buffer output signal...
