Default Deck installation help

I have been trying for hours to install a new deck I got for my '92 S10 Blazer. It is a Pioneer DEH-1100. As far as I know there have been no audio mods and everything is stock. I think what is really throwing me off is even though my Blazer is a '92 I seem to have plugs from the 80's S10 Blazers. So I'm just really lost and could use some direction.

P.S. The deck works...I had it hooked up right to a car battery and some spare speakers before I decided to put it in my truck

Heres the diagram for the deck

So the wiring harness you bought to hook it up isn't correct, or you're trying to hardwire the stereo into your trucks harness?

Did you use the guide on this site to verify you purchased the right parts?

Edit: This guide is the one I mean: https://blazerforum.com/forum/audio-...l-parts-11284/

Turns out I'm an idiot...blown fuse

But I'm still a bit confused because like I said I have the plugs of a 80s Blazer but my Blazer is indeed a '92. So far I got the power to the deck but that seems to be the same with both of them. And yes I am hardwiring it because I don't feel like ordering the harness as no stores around me seem to carry the right one

Scrapping my entire post because I see you decided to hardwire it in...

In that case, you need a wiring diagram for your truck, the plugs don't make any difference at all. That wiring diagram will tell you what color wire goes where so you can hardwire.

Or you can order the adapter from amazon for 10 bucks and save yourself a lot of irritation and needless work.

Well I got it all wired up and it works...I have two final questions...

What becomes of deck illumination wire? My new one doesn't have one so how will it know to light up at night? And secondly what are the two wires running to the ash tray for?

Lots of aftermarket stereos do not have an illumination wire and simply are always lit up. Usually you always have the radio turned on anyways so it really is not necessary. If it were used it would simply light up the face when it is turned off and the parking/head lights are turned on.

I've never hooked up the illumination wire before, and they've always been fine. I'd just tape it off and leave it be.

Two wires going to the ash tray are (I believe) either the ash tray light.
