Managed to find a bit of time to play this afternoon. I realized how bad I need to change my body mount bushings to lol. It's a bit lop sided in the rear which makes test fitting the bumper a pain cause the truck isn't square. I'm building the bumper nice and square regardless and I'll do what needs doing on the truck to make it fit lol.

So I'm happy I slept on it for a couple days cause I realized it didn't need to be so bully looking and the fix was two easy cuts. I've still got a long way to go but most of the really long cuts are finished so I will be able to move a bit quicker on the rest. Here's the progress today.

Side note: I really need a plasma cutter! All these cuts with an angle grinder suck!

More bumper work was accomplished today! I've only got 4 more pcs to cut but I got tired of cutting and started doing some welding for the last 30 minutes of my day lol. I'll have a lot of welding to do but it'll be worth it in the end and I think it's coming out decent. Well here's the pics of where I stopped for today

I intentionally left it long at the fender so once it's complete I can cut it to follow the arch of the fender. I'll also be gusseting everything on the back side for strength as well. Another day or two and it should be about ready to bolt on.

If you find you have a lot of spare time and materials.. my birthday is coming up and a bumper like that would look real nice on my truck..

Man that looks great! Will you cap the top of the side pieces or leave them open? (specifically near the flared part of the wheel well where there's a bit of a gap)

Haha I turn 30 in a couple weeks so I decided this was my birthday present to myself lol.

Yes they will be capped. I'm trying to figure out the best way to be able to retain and use the factory bumper end cap bolts that are there for a nice snug fit.
