I can switch to drive and all fine but the orange indicator doesn't move is there somewhere I can buy a new one or how to fix it

I'm gonna take a guess and say u have a center console in yours!??? For that I am not sure, however a neutral safety switch isn't the answer to your problem either...... I say take it apart carefully and take a look......

 

I'm interested to see how this turns out. My wife's s10 had the same issue. Column shift and intermittent gear indicator outage. I could be mistaken in this case but in mine it was neutral safety switch

 

I've taken console apart and it is a white plastic piece on the bottom of the part that has the Prnd on it that is broke I don't know what it's called and also can't find one may try dealership or junkyard if icould up load pictures i could show what im talking about but either i don't know how or it won't let me

 

My 2005 Trailblazer all of a sudden won't go into gear. The shifter lever works fine, the indicator doesn't show any change in gears. Took center console out (and threw it away) everything seems to be working fine. Next stop?
