97 to 99 4.3L engine swap?

Default 97 to 99 4.3L engine swap?

whats goin on everybody i have a quick question im considering a engine swap from a 99 4.3 into my 97 4.3 what are the variances between these years? and what would i need to keep of my old 4.3

Not positive but i think it will be the all the assecories(sorry bout spelling). And your upper and lower intake. When done you will need to get a crank sensor relearn.

About the only thing I can think of is the ECT sensor. In the '98+, there is only one sensor. On the 96-97, there are two. This impacts the lower intake manifold as there is a drilled/tapped hole below the thermostat on the 96-97 engines which is not there on the later ones.
