side window swap

Default side window swap

Hey guys im new ro the forum and im wanting to change out the windows that go in the topper, from sliding to a full one piece. Are these windows from a suburban or they available for k5's too. This is my new project. Thanks for any input. Also i live in central texas. would liek to meet some guys in the are if possible.

The windows in the K5 topper are different than the back class in a suburban as far as In know. Solid windows were in the base model K5's and shouldn't be too hard to find. Try searching craigslist for complete toppers, sometimes they are free if you haul them away.

yeah they are close but different along with the tailgate glass also. i always hated doing those side windows, make sure you use lots of soapy water to help them slide in and out

Ok I'll do some shipping around. I'll also call a glass shop to see it they have any idea. Thanks for the input.

Or you could just buy a new topper with one piece windows. They are just about free in the PNW.

thats what i did, i had a parts truck with sliding windows and wanted those i just swapped the top, sad thing is i see these things on craigslist and people ask hundreds of dollars for them. maybe times have changed, i put one up in the free section like 6 years ago and ended up having to cut it up and throw it in the dumpster
