clicking in left turns..?
hey guys I've got a 91 s10 blazer 4x4 4.3. I have a problem where I have an inner axle click in certain situations. It is best heard in left turns at around 10-45 mph and will click 1-3 times a second. It seems to be directly related to the amount I turn the wheel to the left (which is a quarter of one revolution). I think its a CV boot/shaft, however both shafts were replaced not too long ago and I just did a left boot. If its clicking whenever I turn to the left, this would mean it may be a right boot, in theory? Also, I have read that the 4wd could be partially engaging, but this doesn't make sense because the handling or drivability are unaffected (however I have been testing the 4wd lately. I noticed this after I hit a small pothole passing someone on the right. Thank you guys.

Yeah it will be a CV axle. You may want to see if the banding that holds the boot on has come undone, it could just be the banding rubbing the control arm as it turns.
If you have had to redo a boot cause the old one broke, you probably got a bunch of crap in it. Its a real bugger to get all the junk out of those joints.
Typically, clicking on a left turn is the left outer joint. clicking on the right would be the right outer. Clicking going straight is usually the inner joints.
