Exhaust Opinions and Options
Hey yall, New blazer owner here!
I just did a trade for my Enduro Motorcycle, I got a 1987 Blazer S10 2.8v6 4x4!
I just recently Replaced water pump new distributor cap and rotor, new plugs, new serpentine belt.
The exhaust is basically a coke can on the end of the pipe no muffler, (not my rigging its how i got the Truck LOL)
I have been doing some research and am trying to find some sort of dual exhaust system to put on my truck, I can't find any that are dual, I'm not even looking for true dual I'm completely content with 1 in 2 out, I just want the look of the dual exhuast in the rear.
Whole exhuast kit piece something together or what? any opinions? I have about a $300 Budget and will be doing the work myself!
Thanks for looking and I look forward to being an active member of the forum

Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy your 2.8L there known to be weak but can take a beating with proper maintnance.
My exhaust is pretty beat up. Leaks around the exhaust manifold. Check yours out also.
You will probably have to piece something together. Not too sure about it.

I am bias to no muffler and no cat, but I love my trucks loud.

Best bet is to just get a single in dual out muffler and run it out.
Personally I like my exhaust heard and not seen.

I like the dual look too man, what I usually do is have the exhaust shop cut it off after the catalyst, then run a muffler, then split it, then dual tips. Its usually about 500 bucks, but thats cause I chose 2 of the fancy tips... They are like 150 each usually. Im sure with 300 bucks you could do the same, and there is plenty of nice tips that arent 150 bucks. I just like the big fatties, and they arent cheap. Depending on how much room there is, you can split it and run 2 mufflers, then that just costs more. The last time I had this done, the guy installed 2 mufflers and 2 tips after the split, and to balance the flow he installed in each pip before the muffler a thing like a washer with a 1.5" hole in it to add a little backpressure and balance the flow. It worked like a charm and flowed like a true dual system when you revved it. That was on a cavalier where one pipe crosses all the way over and flows like crap.
