Any help from any other forum member who has done this swap would be appreciated. I have a 86 s10 Blazer 4X4 and have a 95 3.4 out of a camero. The engine will not start, it turns over and chugs and pops every once in a while but I can't get it to run. Checked the dist and it seems to be set up correctly. Wires have been swapped and coil as well. Any help or thoughts on this subject will help. Thanks!

I have a 86 S10 Blazer 4X4 that I have put a 3.4 out of a 95 Camero in. Now I can't get the thing to fire when turning over. It pops and acts like it wants to start but won't. I've check the timing and the distributor and it seems to be right. Any help would be greatly appreciated, THANKS!

Please do not double post (which is against forum rules). If you have not received an answer on your original thread, please "bump" the thread instead of creating a totally new thread on the same subject (the definition of double posting).

Now, about your problem...

Was the 3.4L engine running before you put it into your truck?

How is the compression? Leakdown?

Did you set base timing? If so, what did you set it to?

Will it start if you dribble fuel or spray starter fluid down the throttle body?
