87' fuel supply issues
Ok. My 87 2.8L is giving me fits. First start of the day, cranks right up and will bring me anywhere I want to go. When I get back in it and try to start it........NOPE, not happening. This last time, I had help with me and I had my friend try to start it and I took the breather off and looked directly at the TBI and no fuel??????? If I wait 10-15 minutes, it will eventually start. I don't get it. Suggestions anyone? Please.
That was my first thought. But if it were the pump, it wouldn't start on the first crank of the day right? I think it has something to do with heat build up and either a fuel line collapses from the heat or something. I am obviously grasping at straws at this point. Thank you for the response and I am willing to try anything to fix this issue.
had a 83 that had a cracked coil that would cause this. took me a while to figure it out. sometimes when it got wet it wouldnt start or after a while of driving. would run fine but shut it off it wouldnt start back up for a while
