94 s10 blazer vin w poppet lines
I was, and still kind am, having fuel issues with my 94 s10 blazer. I replaced my fuel pressure regulator after the truck died and now it is running but still seems to have a issue. After the plenum was removed and we got to looking at the poppet lines on the injector they were worn through pretty far and may leak. I was wondering if those poppet lines can be replaced rather than buy a whole new injector. I was on O'reilly auto's site and on a lark looked up the injector for a 96 jimmy and they showed some replacement lines that look a lot like the ones on mine(and my injector does look like the lines might be maintained). I'm new to posting on forums and long winded any help would be very appreciated.

I think hes asking about the poppet lines, not the fuel inlet/return lines. Yes they can be removed, but I doubt they are a problem. I would look up an injector rebuild kit if I was you and wanted to change them, they come with new poppets. Sometimes the little clips on the poppets break off when you remove them, and then you need replacements for sure. But in short, YES< you can remove the poppets lines from the injector.

Yeah I'm looking to replace the poppet lines cause they are worn pretty much through its just a matter of time before they start to spray and I want to avoid having to replace the injector unless needed. I kinda rambled there on my original post sorry. Thanks for the info hopefully she stays running and the poppet lines don't pop before i can replace them.

ohsofly,
In reference to "1993 S10 Blazer Tahoe LT-Green/Grey, 4.3 Vortec (W)", I have the 94 version. I need to know where the "W" is located in the Vin #. Trying to identify my engine and apparently there are two models, W & Z. Also, can you recommend a good online manual for my Blazer? Haynes is useless. Thanks for any help on this.

The engine code is the 8th character in the VIN. Z=Throttle Body Injecton. 1995 and older W is Central Multiport Fuel Injection. 1996 & newer is Central Sequential Fuel Injection. X is Sequential Multiport Fuel Injection.
There are no "good" online manuals. If you want a shop manual with complete accurate information, specifications, diagnostic & repair procedures, get the factory GM shop manual. Service Manuals, Owner Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Service Bulletins - Helm Incorporated Sometimes you can find used ones on Ebay at a decent price. Don't waste your time or money with aftermarket shop manuals or online subscriptions.... unless you're just looking for "library" reading material
