Along came a spider (injector)
I would prefer liquid fuel to fill this cavity before i wanted it to migrate to the crankcase. Im really curious about this fuel exploding in my intake theory. Liquid wont exploded. Vapor wont explode either without an ignition source. On the other hand...how would you ever know before it was too late that your oil was contaminated? Sure you would notice a drop in oil pressure, but by then it is probably too late anyways.
I have some results for the MPG. The old unit was getting between 13-14mpg and did my first fill tonight and it was 17mpg. I think it will average out between 17-18, was doing alot of rev testing on this last tank. Soon I hope to do a highway test to see what I get.
Wishing you luck, cidium. I hope you got it fixed..
Kristoph, you've really got nothing to worry about, along as you don't get a leak..
And you're right. I don't think it would explode, probably just burn. If it was just a minor leak it would get sucked down into the center 2 cylinders and burn and that should make it run rough enough that you would notice..
I think if you had a leak bad enough to dilute the oil to the point that it would damage the engine you would notice something wrong. A leak that bad would definitely give some symptoms. I would think,

Well, after my second tank my MPG was roughly 13. I am not sure if this is related to the CPI unit or another issue. Right after the start of this second tank i was getting codes 42 and 43. So, till I get this sorted out I am going to say the CPI unit is working.
