Default Another heat/AC blower issue.

94 S-10 Blazer 4.3W Tahoe LT

Blower was working on low only, no matter what the switch position was. Then it went out completely.

I have since changed the resistor, relay, switch, blower motor, fuse and checked all grounds. still nothing.

Im hoping you guys might have an idea that doesnt require me to rewire this, Its looking like this is my only other option.

If any of you guys have a PDF wiring diagram, that would be handy.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have power to the terminal block on the firewall? There should be a hot wire from the battery going directly to that. Check and make sure you have power there first. I believe that connection supplies power to the blower motor.

Ive went through the wiring. Ive got voltage into and out of the relay. The wiring diagram shows a fusable link but, I cant find it. I disconnected the pigtail connector and found the plastic around one of the "pins" melted. I can buy the female side of the pigtail new, not the male side, which is where the damage is. Off to the junkyard I go.

Once I replace both sides of that connector, Then I gotta get to work figuring out what caused that in the first place.

Any ideas where this fusable link might be located. It would save alot of time pulling off tape and shielding material If I knew where to start.

Found the problem to be a broken connector on the switch itself. When I would remount the heater control assembly in the dash, the connector would lose contact. It wasnt coming completely off, just enough to create a short. Sometimes its the simplest things.
