Blazer problem
i have a 94 chevy blazer s-10 4x4.It sometimes will die and start up a few minutes later.I have replaced the control moduele and all other tune up parts. It has a leak in the radiator.Does this have a shut off senser or something when it gets hot or low?
You may want to check out that connector on the fuel injector. Get her running, open the hood, and then down under the throttle body there is 2 wires that go into the intake through a rubber gromet - grab those and give them a tug and push and see if you can stall it out. They are blue and red. If you do make it stall, which I suspect it will, then you will need to buy a new injector harness for about 8 dollars and a plenum gasket for about 20 and crack the topend open and cut off and solder on the new harness. Its an easy job. The harness has a rubber thingy in it that degrades from the petroleum vapors over years so it then makes a crappy connection to the injector unit. The new one is made of silicone or something that will hold up better for time.
i will try that as soon as i get it back from pepboys. They told me it was the spider injector.700 dollars later not even 5 miles from the shop it dies again. Now they are trying to tell me it has carbon in the intake and is clogging the egr.that does not make sense.the truck starts and runs fine.when it stalls it doesnt chug or nothin it just shuts off.then starts back up aminute later. does this sound right?
