blower issues
Hi to all,
Wow what a cool forum!
I have been lurking here and searching/reading lots, but can't find an answer to my issue so here goes....
1992 blazer with A/C - my blower motor died over the summer, man was it ever hot too!
With some help from here, I just replaced the motor. Now it works but only on the slowest speed. Its like the switch does nothing at all, no matter what position it's in I am only going slow. So, I am suspecting the switch. My question, how the heck do I get to the switch? Do I pry off that part of the dash, or are there screws I can't see. I just don't want to break it! I will probably replace both the relay and the switch, they are fairly cheap.
Thanks!

I going to attempt to get that off today,
Not sure where you mean, the AC box, is that on the compressor unit under the hood?
I belive I saw a post on here about testing the switch, I think I will try that next. I'm sure I will have more questions....
I am sure you could test each part, but each part was under $20 to replace, so I figured what the heck. Good luck with yours, if you spend some time reading here, you can pick up TONS of good info, I know I have!
Your Medium 2 problem is either the resistor (doubtful since it's new) or a wire connector. Check the LT BLU wire for voltage at the resistor when you have it in Med 2. You could have a bad connection at that connection if everything else works. This is from the factory wiring diagram. If you have voltage there, then check the DK BLU wire from the resistor to the relay. Troubleshoot backwards from there. It really should work since that''s the last resistor current runs through befire you kick it into HI (which is an entire different story). Sometimes the connectors go bad inside. You can jump around that problem.
