Blower Problem

A few weeks ago I was driving with the heat on full blast. The blower started to get slower and slower and then it stopped alltogether. The heat does work(gets warm) it doesn't blow though. The heater switch lever doesnt click when I slide it from left to right(never did as long as I owned it) but I know it should. I'm thinking it might be the switch. How do I remove the heater switch assembly?
Oh and the light bulb is tangling in the heater control assembly so there is definatly something wrong with it.

Removing the switch ***. should just be the two screws right below the controls. After pulling those you have to gently tug on the whole assembly to get it out far enough to get the vaccum lines off. The lines are held on by two clips that will have to be gently twisted off then unplug the lines all together. There should be a clip at the light harness connection that will slide on to the plastic shroud piece and keep the wires out of the moving parts of the controls. The only other thing in there to remove is the harness that connects to the fan switch. Hope this helps.

If you have already replaced the switch and are still having the same problem try replacing the blower motor resistor that should fix your problem
