My 4x4 jimmy has a 305 with a quadrajet and 4l60e with a tps mounted to the carb to have overdrive. It is difficult to cold start, and when it finally starts, the throttle has to be held a bit to keep it running. After about 2 or 3 minutes, it is warm enough to idle regularly. My issue is that my tps is mounted where the choke assembly would be. Would it be possible to somehow make a manual choke for it or any other solutions? Im all ears! Thanks in advance.

 

Most auto parts stores carry a change over kit from auto to manual choke - but however if you removed all the choke linkage you prob will not have the high idle option
