Default Engine swap....

I'm about to get into swapping my engine out and have a quick question. Since my 1987 S-10 Blazer already has a 3" body lift, will I still have to raise the body to remove the bolts from the transmission; and should I expect any problems putting the replacement engine in its place. My engine is an R coded engine, and the engine I'm thinking about getting for it is going to come out of an 87 Camaro with an engine code of S.

A 3" BL will make it much easier to unbolt the engine from the transmission.

i've never heard of anyone going through the (big) trouble of raising their body to "make it easier" to unbolt the trans. i've always just used two 12" extensions & a 6" extension, with a universal on the socket to get the top two bolts (these extensions pretty much reach the rear of the trans, giving you lots of room to maneuver.
GL with the swap.
