Default Engine Swap

Would i be able to take a 4.3 out of a 91' S10 blazer, and put a 2.8 from a 87' S10 Blazer? Are the engine mounts the same? Would it just fit right in??

Why would you want to do THAT? Aren't you supposed to put in a more powerful engine when you do swaps?

nope. you'd need a 2.8 that came from a newer truck (a fuellie), and the mounts are all different. hell, i'll save myself alot of typing, the whole damn driveline & exhaust are completely different.

and cbr is right, why the hell would you want to put in a piece of s**t 2.8 into a truck, to replace a 4.3? it just doesn't make any sense. no matter how good a 2.8 may be (refering to it's condition) it's still a piece of s**t.
