Fuel filter
Did a tune-up on my 94 vortec, plugs cap wires air filter. Still have a little hesitation and sometimes rough idle at a stop light. Is the fuel filter pressurized on this year blazer? My old 87 tbi was, and my manual only covers upto 87. If it is how do I de-pressurize it so I don't take a bath in $3.65 cent a gallon cologne!! Thanks..........
Yep, it's pressurized. On the rear right side of the intake, where the fuel lines come in is the fitting to check fuel pressure, should have a screw on cap, take that off and press on the little valve core, just like letting air out of a tire.
Yeah just turn the key on and let it buzz up to pressure. It will return the air back to the tank through the return line. When the buzzing stops it should start like normal.
Try blowing through your new filter, and then blow out the old one... You will know if that was your problem or not if it feels like you are going to blow your ears out cause its plugged.
