Fuel gauge issue?
Ok guys, I just bought a sweet '92 blazer tahoe 2dr 2wd "Z" code 4.3L 5spd, and it said full tank when we left, we stopped shortly after and as i pulled in a parking lot the gauge read 3/4 then back to full and then half, the whole way home for san antonio to austin (100 or so miles) it bounced back and forth slowly from half to full, it dropped below half slightly and then started sputtering and stalled, i got it to start again but had to start it up several times to get it to the nearest gas station, dropped $10 of gas in it and it ran fine again. Is the fuel gauge most likely the issue or the fuel pump/sending unit? thank you guys in advance for you're advice.

Yeah the fuel gauges are notoriously bad in these puppies.
Mine used to go 200km before it moved down off full, and at 400 it was empty.
I just got a new gastank, sending unit, pump, and it was nice to fill it up while I left the key in the ON position so I could watch it go up as it should, and it clicked off shortly after it hit full. It was a wonderful time! The sending unit is the part you want, its got the float arm on it. Mine was about 150 for the tank, and 50 for the sender, and 50 for the pump. My new one doesnt jump around either.
