I've been dealing with a rough idle and intermittent hard starts . So I did a fuel pressure test KOEO 60 psi, idle 56ish i let it sit for an hour and it never dropped lower then 54 . I turned it on again and gave it some gas and it bogged down and the fuel pressure dropped to 42 . My question is what would cause that to happen . Its a 94 4x4 with a W engine

 

Sounds like the fuel pressure results are within spec. I don't think there's really a number for when the engine is running, because so many other factors can change it.

How about your ignition? Time for a tune up, maybe? That can cause a rough idle, too.

 

I know its tune up time . I'm just waiting for warmer weather

 

Sounds like it could be a dirty fuel filter

 

I was gonna try and change that this weekend . Its nice and rusty under their I might just send it to the shop and let them deal with the headache

 

my fuel filter was pretty rusty too. if you use thread-lock oil it should twist off for ya.

 

The fuel filter is not that much of a headache, unless you just don't want to get under your truck. lol

 

The snow was still melting when I started this thread . Sorry to say I haven't gotten around to doing the fuel filter yet just haven't had the time .
