It COULD be, but on those ones it's typically a melted cavity
on the switch connector caused by arcing
due to a loose connection. I would pull the 2 screws
out of the bottom of the control and check the
connector real quick first.

 

You saying I will need to replace the harness or the switch?
I already pulled the controll assembleout of the dash and messed with the fan switchbefore Iposted. My first thought since I took the dash out to replace the light bulbs last weekend. I only get a low fan speed, no matter what the fan switch setting, one slow speed. My original thought was either the fan switch or the relay. however the fan is running, that is what has me confused the most. Its getting power and blowing air.

 

I did some testing this morning.
Resistors look good, just three metal coils mad eof different thickness wire, either they are good or not.
I checked the relay and it seems to be OK.
Its either the switch or blower motor.

I ran a fused wired betweent eh battery and the blower motor, nada.
I tested the connectors on the resistor and got power from the various swith positions.

Once I am donewith lunch I'll get backthere and work on it some more.

 

I replaced the blower motor, didn't fix the problem.
It did end up being the switch.
