Default Hesitation in Drive

I have a 93 s10 blazer 4.3 4x4 with a 700r4 trans. When I put it in drive it wants to hesitate on going would anybody have a an idea what would cause that.

What kind of hesitation? like spuddering/stalling or like long and high RPMS to shift or jerking

Once you get going its fine? but only when starting from a dead stop or below 5 mph?

If it only happens when you are trying to go from a stop then i would have your Torque converter it seems to be its not engaging until it spins really fast since you said you have to floor it to move.
