high idle

1988 blazer 2.8L engine . 22o TBI carburator. it idle's at 1100 rpm. new air cleaner gasket. could it be the TPS? any advice on how to lower it would be appreciated.

Replace your throttle body base gasket. These are known to go bad. While you have the throttle body loose, clean it up.

thank's for answer. is that where carb attaches to manifold?

Yes. Technically it is not a carb though.

thank's for answer. also can the ignition timing be adjusted on this engine or is it factory set. 2.8L - 220 TBI injector unit?
