Default hub bearing

i replaced the drivers side hub bearing 2 days ago
i notice a grinding noise
today i took it all aprt looks like the cv joint isnt in all the way like a1/4 inch.
i tightend the 3 bolts holding the assembly on and that is when the isnt touching in the back.
i tightend the big nut and it doesnt pull it in. any help would be nice thank you

if my ball joint is bad would that be a problem too
