Default Hydrolock question

Hello I'm Dan and a new guy to the forum and have question I hope it is in the right place, I have an 84 first gen that i put a 94 5.7 TPI motor in,everything went great untill I tried to start it and it hydrolocked on me, #6 cylinder filled up with gas, luck was with me and it just blew the nosecone off my starter, but after putting in a new starter it still does it, I have put in new injectors and had a new harness made from chevythunder.com.What would cause this ? I pulled the vac line off the fuel pressure reglator and there was gas in the line and also my plenum,is the regulator bad or do I have it hooked to the wrong vac port? This being a batch fire system I would think all the cylinders on that side to be full since it fires all of one bank at a time, not just the number 6 cylinder. This is a speed density system with the 1227730 ecm, I have had it running for about an hour and it ran rich but after the hydrolock I had to change the starter and flexplate and oil and have not had it running since it locks up right away. sorry for the long post but I am lost here any help would be great. Thanks

If you have fuel in the vacuum line, that would indicate that the FPR is gone. Which cylinder is the vacuum line port over top of?

There are two right above number 6 & 8 one is supposed to be for the MAP and the other for the FPR

Yep so that explains it. There should be no fuel in the FPR vacuum line. Replace the FPR and that should cure your problem.
