Default Mysterious Hose on Reareend Diff

I want to apologize, its me again. But, after I got a butt chewwin from a couple guys i learned a BIG LESSON, when someone ask you to try something DO NOT HAVE DIFFERENT SUGGESTION, try it. You folks got me thruough a few different issues in the las 3 months. Well I am ready to adhere to your suggestions again. My 89 s10 blazer with 3.08 rear, 4.3l eng., amd 700r4 trans. OK here we go right above the hex plug to drain and fill your rearend is rubber hose that is routed to the driver side, it looks as thought it has been plugged with a screw or bolt of some sort I can't find this in my haynes or chiltons book. Can someone please advise?
