Default New motor

I just rebuilt a 4.3 for my 86 s-10 blazer. Will my T-5 fit with the right bellhousing. Found a new one at a G.M. dealership. Just was wondering about the shaft on th front of the tranny. Is it too long or short?

Default RE: New motor

The bellhousing dimensions on the back of the engine are the same as any small block chevy.

I know the bellhousings are the same.I talkin about the input shaft of the transmission that goes into the torque converter and or the clutch. I want to the difference in thedepth of the bellhousings from a 2.8L to a 4.3L ? I was told that the2.8 had a deeper bell than the 4.3L. andI might have to cut the input shaft to get the tranny w/ bellhousing to bolt together.
