oil cooler line

Default oil cooler line

whats the easiest way to remove the oil cooler line on a 92 s-10 blazer..........thanks

well if its the one that goes from the oil filter to the eng then u will need a very long 2 ft extension and a floor jack and a piece of wood. the bolt heads i believe are 9/16, along with a 1/2 ratchet you will need to feed the socket and extension through the steering linkage area towards the bolt. oh but before that u might need to jack up the eng slightly to get past the motor mount. so put the wood under the oil pan and lift it with the jack.so after u feed the extension through then carefully remove the old lines, and install is the reverse of removal except be very carefull when feeding and turning the new lines into position. u dont want to crimp or disturb the fittings on the lines. otherwise the cooler line is pretty straight foward, two bolts off two bolts on.

no thank u, but yes drain the oil and do a complete change with filter. its cheap enough
