oil cooler lines?
im leaking oil really bad from one of my oil cooler lines on my 1992 blazer. are these lines pressurized, if not could i just cut where the leak is and use a hose fitting and some hose clamps to fix it?

Word of advice. NEVER EVER compromise when it comes to oiling or cooling your engine. The consequences for trying to save a few bucks can be fatal. Just get new lines. Now I get alot of used parts from race teams thru Bidracer and places like that. I picked up nice NASCAR pre-used lines and Aeroquip fittings for pennies on the dollar. It cost me less than new stock replacements. Just imagine what would happen if your splice came apart and you pumped all the oil out of your engine while going down the highway. Actually its not bidracer anymore. Check out musclemotorsports. You cant call up and orderparts for your vehicle but, in your case, measure your lines and fittings and order that. You can get lengths of the oil line because stockcars use dry sump systems with a remote resevoir in the back. I got like 10 feet of the stuff and the correct sized fittings for like $58 shipped. And those pretty red fittings on those nice braided lines match my paint nice.
