rearview mirror with lights gets VERY hot
Just picked up this '93 S10 Blazer. The power cable was unplugged from the rearview mirror. So I plugged it in, no problem. Both reading/map lights turn on and off with the switches.
I didn't think anything about until the next day I reached up and adjusted the mirror and it was very, very hot. The lights were NOT on.
So now I know why it was unplugged
If the lights turn on and off with the switches on the mirror, could there still be a short in the mirror?
I haven't removed it yet, but is it serviceable?
Anyone else seen this before?
