i happen to have the cpi vortex - no steel lines ran on frame - rubber hose clamped to the short steel line on the tank then attach too the short steel line over the transfercase - just cut off the flair nut off the line on the tank and the old rubber hose off the steel line and hose it

There are steel lines ran on the frame, if you do not have steel lines, someone did some work, I have steel lines from where it turns rubber at the fuel pump, to the fuel filter, and over the transfer case.

yes there was steel lines at one time -mine were about deterated into - i ran rubber from tank to filter then from filter to the line above transfercase -return and vent steel lines were bad also so i ran all rubber there also - in most cases even standard fuel line is rated at 50# and higher - injection line is at 180# and higher - make sure you slide the hose over the steel line at least a inch or two and clamp it -

I ended up getting some 5/16 steel line and used compression fittings. had to cut the flare off the sending unit, and ran about 1 1/2 feet of it, picked a spot and cut the old line. compression on both sides, no leaks after 1 test drive. now my exhaust comes in the floor hole though lol, duct tape time!

thanks for the help guys
