Hey guys i new here i searched the forums and found nothing. I have a 93 s10 4*4 4.3 vortec my ses light comes on periodically ( not sure of spelling ) i checked the code and it tells me 43 knock sensor or tps out of adjustment how do i determine which one it is. cant u test a tps with a volt meter? any help would be awesome thanks in advance!! -kevin

You might try cleaning the Throttle Body around the butterfly so that it seats fully closed when at idle. Buildup at this area will cause a TPS error.

Ok My Intake Was Pretty Dirty But I Reset The Computer And Nothing The ses Light Came On Instantly How Can I Test The Throttle Position Sensor With A Volt Meter

Try to get a small metal either pin or paper clip into the backside of the TPS connector to make contact, then use aligator clip style leads from DVMM to take readings...

Ok The Light Is Not Going Off After Cleaning The Throttle Body Also What Reading Should I Get On The Volt Meter And Is Mine Adjustable Or Do I Just Have To Replace It Thanks In Advance

in further review i guess it might be the knock sensor. in my searching there is alot of mixed thoughts. are there 2 on a 93 4.3vortec cpi and if so where are the two located?? thanks in advance. also there really seems to be no difference when the light is on or off although now it is staying on cant tell any difference thanks again
