thermostat??

My previous post was more aimed at eddiegreeny.

If you were low on coolant, that could expain the differences. With a stock 195*F stat, your engine temps should be 200-210*F. 190*F is within the realm of the inaccurate factory gauge.

Base on your post above, sounds like things are working correctly.

It's not so much the quality of the engineering...engineers don't make a ton of money for nothing..but companies increase their tolerance levels in production, and use lower cost materials. That's why you can buy a thermostat for $8.

The t-stat on my Range Rover is one of the few things that won't fail...those suckers are the size of a baseball and run $80 each! Now if only Land Rover will use those production specs on their electrical system....

what if your needle for the thermostat isnt moving even after having it run for an hour?
