Default Tranny headache!

I have a '90 S10 Blazer (4.3), and for no apparent reason I only have 1st and 2nd gears. If I leave it in drive or over drive it will rev like its in neutral when it gets to where 3rd should be. So I have to drive it in 2nd (trust me...no fun!!) Any thoughts?? My digital gauges speedometer wasn't working so I switched it out with one that did work. And within 24 hours I lost all the gears except 1st, 2nd and rev. Could that in any way be cousing the problems?? The "new" digital gauge came from a '92 S10 Blazer (4.3 Vortec). The 4x4 still works and 1st and 2nd gears are strong. Any help or thoughts would be great!! -Eric

sounds to me like like your tranny isblown. its the guages should have nothing to do with the way the tranny shifts. i think your tranny just crapped out. time for a rebuild or get a used one and throw it in.

Deffinitly sounds like you blew out your tranni, I would take it in to a tranni shop and have them run a free diagnostic to see what is exactly wrong with it!!
