Turn Signal Stalk

Turn Signal Stalk
I have a 94 S10 Blazer with Tilt Wheel, and cruise.
my indicator stalk is pretty loose up and down wise, it slops around and has alot of play, and you have to push kind of hard till it clicks for the turn signals. everything still works, except the cruise control. the cruise control will work if i hold the stalk up a little, but as soon as i let it go, because of the slop, it sags a little, and the cruise shuts off. anyone have any ideas if its possible to tighten up the stalk? or if this could be some other problem?

Seems I have the same problem on my 98' Blazer. Though I don't have the cruise control issue " yet ". I took off the covering and what not around the wheel but couldn't see a thing. Hopefully I don't have to get it serviced because I know labor will cost a fortune.
