what size?
What size nut is on the front axle that helps hold the hub assembly on (not the three nuts behind the hub assembly but the big one in the center) Tried searching for it in the forum but couldnt find it...
Not necessarily.
The 36mm nut is actually 35.5mm flat to flat. The 36mm socket is 36.5mm flat to flat. Per machinery's handbook, this is an acceptable tolerance. 1mm clearance is only 0.040" and for a fastener this large, that will not allow the proper 36mm socket to strip over.
The 35mm socket is actually 35.5mm flat to flat. Being line to line, nut to socket, it would fit a bit snug at best, but may not fit for everyone at worst.

there's probably more reasons why, but this is a family forum, so we'll just leave them alone-wait...isn't that how they got corroded in the first place *ba-dum-dum, tisssss*
