ABS lamp on
I have a 2000 Blazer LT 4X4, 4 door, 4.3l, with 103,000mls.
This truck has been a dream to own and has never needed anything but regular maint. My latest reg maint has been a brake job, no rotors just pads. I use Preformance Friction - Carbon Metalic and have so for years because they save my rotors.
This last time my ABS indicator had come on so I took the time to realy check the rear braks as I usualy do with the front and found that they too needed replacing. I have now replaced pads on all four corners and the ABS indicator is still lit.
Is there some type of reset function that needs to be done to clear this indicator or, could there be another problem with the ABS system that is keeping this indicator from going dark? If there may be something else, please give me some idea where and what to look for.
Thanks!

RE: ABS lamp on
i would actually look at the sensors and the wiring to them. I know that mine got pinched on the pass side front and actually wore through the wire. Not a good thing if the abs actually fails. makes it really hard to stop.
