Default 01 Blazer seat reset after unlock

So I had to order a new key fob from eBay as the old one was destroyed. I programmed it and it works. However every time I unlock the car, the seat moves all the way back, every time. What gives?

Are you sure it's not supposed to do that?

Did you reprogram the seat?

It never did that before, there's two memory buttons on the side of the site, those work, however I don't want to keep pressing them every time I get in the car

I didnt ask you if the old memory was still good, I asked if you reprogrammed it.

I dont even have memory seats and never used them, either.. but I know how I would set it up if I were designing the system.

I would design it so one fob was driver one and one was driver two. Doesnt cost a thing and it's cool

Could be the answer is in here:

UPDATE: We havent heard back, should I assume you've now paired the seat memory with the new fob?

Future readers - The tipoff was the seat repositioning to all back when he got a new fob. That tells me that the seat memory needs to be paired with 'driver one' or driver two's fob.
