Just to confirm.....you do know the procedure for shifting out of 4lo correct? You must stop the car, shift into neutral and then press the 4hi button.

The service 4WD light is not on. When it's stuck in 4 low, the 4 low light is on solid. When I press any of the other buttons (4 high, 2 high, or auto 4WD), the light for that selection will flash, the relays make noise, and it sounds like it's trying to engage (noise from the front axle), but it will go back to 4 low, with the 4 low light on solid. And yes, I do know the procedure for changing in and out of 4WD.

Rob it could be the encoder motor but I am not sure. I will ask tomorrow at work but the tech I would really want to speak to is off on Saturdays. I will let you know what I find out. It could also be the TCCM. I will ask tomorrow. Sorry that sucks no matter how you look at it. Also, were you supposed to go wheeling with the club this weekend?

Rob, I asked one of the guys at work and he said either encoder like I said or TCCM like I thought. I hope this helps. Talk to you soon.
