Default 01 rough idle at start but goes away....

so my 01 has a rough idle, almost a miss when i first start it and if i go drive it around it will go away, and not come back untill i leave it and try starting it again once its cold,

i've maybe driven it 3 times in the past 6 months, did a fresh oil change(noticed a bit of sludge) ran some seafoam, changed again, still nothing...

any suggestions?

my 99 did the same thing check your throttle body right where the valve is to let air in. it could be built up with carbon so the valve is having a little trouble opening and closing. i cleaned it and the problem seemed to go away

Try a new cap and rotor, it could be corroded or shorted out in the cap from not being run so much. I almost guarantee this is the problem

Hard starting and rough idle in damp conditions is a classic sign of a bad cap and rotor. If it has been really humid where you live that can do it.

Yes, I have seen it numerous times... the cap shorts itself out within the plastic causing a misfire that can barely be heard but does throw a code usually and cant be heard with the rpms high. replace them with ac/ delco parts ONLY if you have the cash to.
