01 S10 Blazer Hood
Start off gentle, and push down on the front of the hood right by the latch. Also try lifting up as far as possible on the hood then going and pulling inside release.
If that doesn't work...try a bit more 'finesse'. Mine would release with a well placed pound on the drivers side hinge-ish area of the hood. Once you get the hood up, spray a WHOLLEEE lot of wd-40 or some other cleaner all over the latch mechanism to clean it out and grease it up.
Shouldn't have any problems after that!
