02 Blazer SES
To make a long story short I have been having problems out of my 4WD 2002 Blazer. A month ago when the problems started I DIDN'T get the SES popping up, but I would be doing 55 - 60mph on the interstate and suddenly loose power. I could press the gas peddle to the floor and get nothing and then I would try to start it and got nothing
Got a diagnosis of a bad catalytic converter after the OBD-II said it had a catalyst deficiency on bank 1, so I had a new one put on. A couple of days later the same problem kicked in...nothing out of the gas peddle, speed and RPM gauges just fell, and again would not start.
I would let it sit for a while and then it would start right up, which led me to think it was the fuel pump. I could still hear the fuel pump howling 10minutes after it was started. So I had a fuel pump installed. Did great the next day and then today the SES popped up after about a 15 mile drive.
Had an OBD-II hooked up to it and again the deficiency on bank 1 came up. It's driving fine right now, which is because of the fuel pump. I know for a fact that the old one was about to lay down. So the next possible option would be a bad O2 sensor...bank 1 I was told was the one parallel to the left front tire underneath so I replaced it cleared the code and took it a couple miles down the road and it threw the SES again.
I'm kinda out of ideas at this point. Ill probably take it back over the place that put the fuel pump on and see if they left anything undone. Sorry for the long post but this truck is giving me hell.
