04 car alarm problem
by what? reconnecting up the battery?? the most you "see" is a little "zzzzz" of sparks if you try to "gingerly" install the battery cable. don't take it the wrong way (anybody), but reconnect it like a man-"this is what i want to do"- not like a little girl-"is this where it goes"-do you get my meaning? nothing is gonna happen.
one thing to remember, this doesn't always clear everything from the computer-that's why i went and bought my own scan tool-so you may need to have it wiped @ a shop. gook luck with disconnecting the battery, it can't hurt to try (just remember to leave it disconnected long enough).

you won't get zapped from the battery. what they probably meant to say was, if you disconnect the positive terminal only, don't set it down where it can come in contact with anything metallic (inner fender, rad support, etc.) as this will complete the circuit. and since the negative is still connected to the battery, this will short out the battery (which can make it explode, but highly unlikely).
