1995 CPI spider assembly Reman only
Hi,
Did the pressure test and it's not holding. I replaced the fuel pump about 6 months ago but I'll check it again at the fuel filter just to make sure it's didn't fail.
Meanwhile I check the usual source for the CPI assembly and the only replacement I can find are re-manufactured parts for $125. New parts are about $250 but out of stock.
Should I bother heading to pull-a-part for a used one?
Thanks in advance!

Agree, I'll find the leak first. Considering the work involved a used part seems not worth the effort. Googling around seems that the re-manufactured spider are prone to fail. If it does turn out the be the spider, I wish I could get a new one.
My fuel pump assembly had a damper that the pump motor slipped in. I wondered about how well it sealed and could hold ~75psi. Even debated about taking it off and installing the piece of hose that came with the motor.

Regretfully even100% new parts are cr== and prone to fail.
The days of everybody buying Ac delco and Delphi only is a waste of money as they are also made in china - they are a little better than the elcheapos but you are mainly paying for the name.
I actually have better luck and longevity out of a Bosch or a Carter pump but to each their own - old habits die hard.
The fuel pump usually sits in a container and the return fuel run back and fills it to keep the pump cool - the fuel pump its self should have a check valve in it to hold pressure and keep fuel from back flowing when off .....
