Default 1997 Door moldings

I have a 97 LS blazer with the 3" door molding with the chrome strip. The chrome strip has become brittle and flaked off. Does anyone know where i could find this chrome strip to go over it,which is 1" wide or any ideas on how to make it look better than it does now? It will be appreciated.

Well one option is to debadge like a lot of people do. Im not sure what you could do to make the trim look better besides replace it. But personally i think debadging it makes the truck look cleaner like this.

Or this:

Yep, the green one is mine, on the doors its glued on, I just gently peeled them off. Was a bit of work with solvents to get the glue residue off but not that bad. The rear bumper molding is held with clips that just pop off

First I used a blow dryer and my finger to roll off the bulk, then mineral spirits and denatured alchohol. Anything like goo gone would work also. After, a little wax and looks good

YO! Both those Blazers look GREAT! But,when I did a swap-over 2 years ago to make a white & gold trim to a white silver trim-one would leave holes in the doors-at least thats how the 96 to 97 swap would have left it-so the 98 and later were just glued on? HMMM!
But I did remove all badging and it does look much better(and confuses the cops) on my last speed warning the vehicle ID was Chevrolet Jimmy! Even though the registration Clearly shows:97 GMC JIMMY! LOL!
