Default Painting window moldings

has anyone had problems with the moldings on the rear side windows. mine have been dried out by the sun. i was thinking of lightly sanding them and painting them. any thoughts or ideas on this?

Default RE: Painting window moldings

Painted mine when I got my paint job done. Best thing I could have done to them, not only does it look great, but it stopped the sun from eating them up. My suggestion is if they are deeply pitted (you can feel the pits with your fingernail) that you use a little bondo to fill in the pits and then sand them down, degrease them, tape them up, and shoot them whatever color you want. If they aren't deeply pitted then a simple light sanding should do the trick.
